The War On Christmas by Bodie Hodge
As we get ready for Christmas it easy to forget about the true meaning of Christmas. I am a Sunday School Teacher and I found out Jesus is second to Santa Claus, and these are children whose parents grew up in church. I wanted to bang my head to the wall. Then I received this book for free. It was fascinating. I began to read how we lost the true meaning of Christmas believers and non believers. It was an eye opener. Bodie Hodge speaks about the Christmas Sermon that really brought conviction to my heart. In Chapter 13 he talks about the baby Jesus and the need for him. Every chapter brings you to a clearer understanding of Christmas and how it is more than gifts, decorations. It is about God and His Son Jesus. The miracle of Salvation. The end to a 400 year silence and Gods endless love. Bodie Hodge Opened my eyes to more than just a war on Christmas. There is a war and Christians need to be prepared, I truly recommend this book. It will make a great Christmas Gift. God Bless.

Then Like The Blind Man: Orbie's Story by Freddie Owens
Then Like The Blind Man: Orbie's Story started off slow, but I did like how the author narrates it through the eyes of a child. It takes place in a time of prejudices, Detroit and Kentucky in the summer. Orbie stays with his Grandparents while his mother and stepfather head to Florida. He meets new friends and gains a new found courage that he will eventually need later. There is a long list of characters each one special to Orbie, and the book does get suspenseful as the story progresses you will find yourself not putting it down happy reading. I received this book for free from BookBub.com
